More than just a game: The story of Norbury Green FC

Our history isn’t just about football matches; it’s about community, opportunity, and the belief that every young person deserves a chance to succeed both on and off the pitch. Discover how Norbury Green FC was built to give every child — regardless of background or ability — a safe, positive space to learn, play, and grow.

Our Journey

What began as a small group of passionate coaches and young players has grown into one of South London’s most community-driven youth football clubs. Under the leadership of Sam Soyebo (Chairman & Founder, UEFA B Licence) and Colin Grant (Head of Coaching, UEFA B Licence), Norbury Green FC has become a place where children learn, play, and grow in confidence.

Our Philosophy

With Hannah Robins (Welfare Officer) ensuring player wellbeing and founding members Bushira Attah (Club Secretary) and Howard Smith (Experienced Coach) still playing key roles, the club continues to build a culture of inclusion, support, and continuous improvement. Every session and match is designed for learning through enjoyment and teamwork — where development always comes before results.

Our Values

Today, Norbury Green FC proudly represents the values of family, discipline, and growth — proving that when a community comes together around football, amazing things can happen. We’re more than a club; we’re a family helping every child develop their craft, confidence, and character.

"We started with a few cones, a ball, and a dream to make football accessible to everyone — that same spirit drives us today."
