The Birth of SS Soccer Academy
It all began with Sam Soyebo's vision: grassroots coaching sessions focused purely on teaching and developing local children. This marked the seed of Norbury Green FC's core values – growth, learning, and inclusion. Sam's dedication laid the foundation for what NGFC is today: a place where every child can thrive.
The Founding of Norbury Green FC
Over three years ago, the SS Soccer Academy officially transitioned into Norbury Green FC. Bushira and Howard joined forces with Sam, solidifying the foundation of the club. This pivotal moment transformed a vision into a structured, community-driven organisation dedicated to providing opportunities for young footballers in Norbury.
Expansion and Professional Growth
The club's evolution continued with the addition of Colin (Head of Coaching) and Hannah (Welfare Officer) to the leadership team. Colin's UEFA B Licence and experience with Fulham FC enhanced the coaching quality, while Hannah's role strengthened safeguarding and player wellbeing. This symbolises NGFC's commitment to a professional yet family-focused environment.
